Dismal Data

I am all too aware that the blog-o-sphere counts the ticks of a clock in nanoseconds, but it is also worthwhile to go back and look at trends over time (the diachronic perspective, in academic speak). As we enter the winter holiday season and approach the Bush II inaguration the following month let's think about what he has done for the domestic economy since taking office four years ago. Eriposte has an excellent site that gets updated monthly showing abysmal statistics of the jobless Bush economy and the trend to "pay down the poor" and "enrich the wealthy" that, if allowed to continue, will come back to haunt the red states. If the wool-swathed caroling season makes you chipper, this will surely dampen your goodwill to (certain) men.
